‘Subway Love’: Thoughts within poetry

I think, I stumbled across Subway Love by Max Stossel, when it was trending in youtube under ‘most popular’ last year. And I must say, I loved the message behind it. I have been meaning to share this for quite some time now. Although, I am not familiar with copyright terms, so if sharing it is violating something, please let me know.

We are all so busy rushing our lives
Trying hard to achieve something
On the way, we forget
What it is, that we are on the way of achieving
Perhaps it’s money, perhaps it’s fame
Or maybe it’s simply happiness
Lost in ‘chasing the wind’ game.

We all know, within our hearts
That fame and money
Will never be able to satisfy us
If we were given a mountain of gold,
We would simply want another.

So, let’s take a moment everyday
To stop in our tracks, live in the moment
And take a deep breath
At the middle of this never-ending haste.
